Ramos, Cutié Named Hispanic
Ambassadors

Jorge Ramos

Father Albert, the son of Cuban parents, born in Puerto Rico, and raised in Miami, has the special privilege of entering millions of homes throughout the world each day with his television and radio talk shows, newspaper advice columns, motivational talks, and with his first self-help book.

Father Albert became the first Catholic priest to host a “Talk-Show”, weekly prime-time “live” program and a weekly television program on secular television. This variety of television programs, which aired on leading Spanish-language American Networks and international networks, were seen in millions of households in the United States, the Caribbean and Latin America.

“Padre Alberto”, "Padre Alberto y sus amigos" and “Cambia tu Vida con el Padre Alberto” became household words among Hispanics in the United States and Latin America. His program “America en Vivo” combined information on various topics and created an environment where viewers interacted with calls and emails.

Father Albert is presently seen on the weekly television talk show "Hablando Claro con el Padre Alberto", produced in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and seen throughout the United States Canada, Spain and all of Latin America. This program is geared toward dealing with issues which affect today’s families and youth.  Through this talk show, Father Albert enters millions of homes each week.

Father Albert is the General Director of the Catholic Radio Apostolate, known as “Radio Paz and Radio Peace”, as part of the Pax Catholic Communications (Radio Paz, Radio Peace, Radyo Ke Poze, Pax Net and La Voz Católica) – a media organization dedicated to using the latest technologies in bringing a message of faith, hope and love to today’s world.  He is also featured in a daily newspaper column, “Consejos de Amigo” (Advice from a friend), published in El Nuevo Herald and several other Spanish-language newspapers, offering guidance and solutions to everyday problems with a spiritual and human perspective.

Father Albert published his first self-help book, entitled, Real Life, Real Love:  Seven Paths to a Strong and Lasting Relationship, in January 2006. The book available in English and Spanish in the United States and throughout Spain and Latin America became a best seller.

Father Albert is presently in the process of establishing a charitable foundation, dedicated to educational and hunger programs for children and youth throughout our continent.
