Area Agencies on Aging (AAA)
These are federally funded offices in every county. They provide
resources for families seeking answers to questions about long-term care
choices. For the nearest office, visit the Administration
on Aging website.
National
Association of Elder Law Attorneys
If you are unable to afford long-term care, qualified elder law
attorneys can help. In addition to drafting the necessary legal documents,
they can also help determine whether an individual qualifies for federal
assistance such as Medicaid. Use the link above to locate an elder
law attorney in your area.
National
Institute on Aging
This organization produces a publication called Planning
for Long-Term Care, which offers help on choosing the type of
care, figuring out how to pay for that care, and where to find additional
help.
CareGuide (Available
