Turn to their exclusive handbook "Every Woman's Guide to Breast Cancer" for detailed information on every step of the diagnosis, treatment, and recovery process. 

The Sister Study
The Sister Study is a long-term study dedicated to researching genetic links and issues that relate to breast cancer and using this information to increase prevention measures. Read the personal sister stories on the site to find others who have lost a sister or suffered along with one. 

MedlinePlus
Provides in-depth clinical information on the disease, as well as detailed treatment options, drug information, links to hundreds of additional pages, and an encyclopedia of terms. Their interactive tutorial is an invaluable resource.

Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is one of the most established and progressive organizations whose sole purpose is to fund research that will help eradicate breast cancer. Their message boards provide a great way to share stories, get advice, and meet people who have an intimate understanding of the disease. 

National Breast Cancer Foundation

Founded by a breast cancer survivor, the National Breast Cancer Foundation is a great resource to find local news articles, legislation, clinical information, and more. Their illustrated guide gives invaluable information on early detection and basic breast cancer facts. 


People Living with Cancer
From their website: Information on clinical trials, support services, cancer news, and other resources such as ASCO abstracts, patient care guides, and expert chat transcripts. The list of questions to ask your doctor is a must-have for any woman during this difficult time, when it might be hard to organize your thoughts.

Agency for Health Care Research and Quality
A divison of the Department of Health and Human Servicesm, the AHRQ is responsible for overseeing research and health care initiative to aid in the effectiveness of all healthcare. Their guide to the surgical choices available to women with beginning stage breast cancer is invaluable.
