The Latino & Latina World War II Oral History
Project at the University of Texas at Austin is looking for Hispanics
from the following groups to contribute their stories
- Puerto Rican WWII Vets, including those stationed
in Tortugero, and those guarding outposts in the Caribbean
- Men who married foreign War Brides
- Rangers
- Those who served in Military Intelligence
- Women who worked at defense plants or military
installations
- Women who worked in mines in the New Mexico/Arizona
area
- Women who went to Washington, DC to work for
the Civil Service
- War Brides from other countries
- Puerto Ricans who lived in New York City: vets,
men who were not in the services and women
