Puerto Rico: Getting There
By Ana Figueroa
Many major airlines offer daily flights to Puerto
Rico's Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, just a few minutes drive
from the resorts of San Juan's Isla Verde section.
Over one million people
arrive in Puerto Rico via cruise ship each year. You can also use the
island as the starting point for a Caribbean cruise; San Juan is home
port to more than two dozen cruise lines.
For best value in lodgings,
look for paradores, country inns known for their affordability
and great settings.
More information about
planning a trip to Puerto Rico can be found at the island's official
tourism company site. Also, check out AARP's
travel discounts for airlines, cruises, and hotels.
